The German striker returned to England after a gap of one and a half years as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/timo-werner-chelsea-tottenham-loan-signing-ex-blues-forward-rb-leipzig-option-to-buy/blt7477f60d600bf942" target="_blank">he joined Spurs on a short-term loan deal</a> from RB Leipzig. Werner's first spell in London did not go to plan as the once highly-rated forward disappointed at Chelsea, scoring just 23 goals across two seasons.

Also, Werner will be desperate to prove his critics wrong and try to book a place in the German squad for the Euro 2024. The striker is also known to be versatile as he can play in multiple attacking positions.
