<p>Neymar is not expected back in action until August 2024. Brazil's team doctor <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/neymar-ruled-out-copa-america-2024-brazil-team-doctor-outlines-risk-al-hilal-superstar-recovery-acl-surgery/blteeec2dda2cdc2c1a" target="_blank">Rodrigo Lasmar has confirmed the forward will miss next summer's Copa America</a> tournament and has warned against rushing back from such a serious injury. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/al-hilal-confirm-90m-signing-neymar-psg/blt587c20f8af583167" target="_blank">Neymar joined Saudi side Al-Hilal</a> in the summer but has only managed five appearances for his new club so far.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Neymar will now continue his rehabilitation but faces another long spell out of the game. The Brazilian has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/news/neymar-posts-emotional-message-surgery-acl-injury/blt849dc9edf6b6fd43" target="_blank">already claimed his current injury is "the worst"</a> after being plagued by physical issues throughout his career. He will now aim to make his latest comeback with Al-Hilal in August 2024,  providing his recovery goes to plan.</p>
