<p>Fernandez, who <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/enzo-fernandez-ex-fiancee-opens-up-sudden-split-chelsea-star-reasons-separation/blt84efb7cd5c554b57#cs3db610ae2b3a24e1" target="_blank">split up with childhood sweetheart Cervantes</a>, in October this year, is all set to reunite with his ex-partner to celebrate the New Year with her and their two children. The Chelsea star had initially requested Cervantes to celebrate Christmas with him, however, the Argentine beauty turned down the player as she wanted her children to stay with their cousins and family in Argentina. In turn, she agreed to travel to London before New Year's Eve. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Speaking to La Nacion, Cervantes said: "Enzo asked me to go to London for Christmas. But I told him I preferred to spend it here in Argentina because the kids have more cousins and it makes the moment of opening gifts and everything else more special. But for the 31st, we’ll travel there and spend it together."</p><p>He added: "I’m not going to go to Big Ben with a cider alone. We talked about it, and he has no problem with it, and neither do I, in that I know how to separate things. We are going to do everything possible to make the children happy."  </p>

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

<p><span>The pair had been together since they were youngsters, while the Blues star was playing for the Argentine club River Plate. She then became pregnant at the age of 19 and then travelled with him as he first moved to Benfica before completing a record transfer to Stamford Bridge. Post their break-up, She moved back to her homeland along with her children.  </span></p>

THE GOSSIP

<p>The Argentine will be back in action on Sunday as the Blues take on Ipswich Town in the Premier League in an away fixture. </p>
