Erling Haaland, Cole Palmer & Bukayo Saka lead nominees for Men's Premier League Young Player of the Season Award

Haaland is joined by Manchester City team-mate Phil Foden on the shortlist, with Alexander Isak also nominated after a prolific season with Newcastle. Cole Palmer is another player who has enjoyed himself in front of goal in the current campaign and makes the cut along with Arsenal's title-chasing duo Bukayo Saka and William Saliba. WHAT HAPPENED?

<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/manchester-city-erling-haaland-sweeps-premier-league-player-and-young-player-of-the-year-awards/blt8f3af133981b1e47" target="_blank">Haaland claimed the award last season</a>, and also picked up the the Premier League's Player of the Season Award, but faces plenty of competition once again - not least from team-mate Foden. The England international has already scooped the <a href="FWA Footballer of the Year" target="_blank">FWA Footballer of the Year prize</a> after scoring 16 times and picking up eight assists in the Premier League this season.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Foden has already picked up the award twice, in 2020/21 and 2021/22, while Udogie becomes the first Tottenham player ever to be nominated for the prestigious prize.
