WHAT HAPPENED?

Kane has been at the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/harry-kane-questions-critics-understand-football-england-captain-breaks-silence-fitness-euro-2024-semi-final-netherlands/blt4ed602296a3657cb" target="_blank">receiving end of severe criticism from all quarters</a> due to his underwhelming performance in the ongoing Euro 2024. Until the semi-final, the former Tottenham forward had managed to score just twice in four appearances in the tournament.

The 30-year-old was the star for The Three Lions in Euro 2020, as he struck four goals in the knockout stages which helped his team reach the final of the competition for the first time in history.
