<p>The Bees striker scored a free-kick in his first game back in eight months following a suspension, but the goal was not without controversy. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The 27-year-old's actions were spotted by the television cameras and sparked anger on social media. After being banned for breaching betting regulations, he wowed fans by scoring the equalising free-kick, but many branded him a cheater after realising he had moved the ball forward.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Despite his lengthy ban, the one-time England international has been linked with a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/transfer-boost-arsenal-chelsea-ivan-toney-wants-to-play-top-club-brentford/blt722ff3927fec6641" target="_blank">January move to Arsenal</a> as the north London side look to strengthen in attack. However, Brentford are said to be demanding around £80 million ($102m) for him and coach Thomas Frank <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/arsenal-ivan-toney-thomas-frank-sign-brentford-striker/blt2a0467d7cf778168" target="_blank">is confident he will stay for the rest of the season</a> at least.</p>
