<p>Militao will miss the rest of the season for Real Madrid after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/real-madrid-eder-militao-suffers-acl-injury-second-time-just-over-a-year-surgery-confirmed/blt4553b5c2d90d9e2e" target="_blank">rupturing his ACL</a> in the 4-0 win against Osasuna on Saturday. The Brazilian centre-back was stretchered off and it was confirmed he will miss the next nine months with his knee injury. The news has sparked rumours that Sergio Ramos could return to the Spanish capital, with the veteran defender in search of a new club after leaving Sevilla in the summer.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Former Madrid man Guti is all for the return of the 38-year-old. He said: "Look at Ancelotti's worried face. Militao is a very important player who had just recovered from last year's injury, who was getting back to his best and who is leaving Madrid's defence in a tight spot. He is joined by Carvajal's injury. Alaba has had a very long injury... </p><p>"You have to go out on the market. Sergio Ramos is without a team. Right back and centre back. In this situation, I clearly see him, at zero cost. He comes from playing last year in Sevilla and doing well. A man who has been in the team, who was active last year. Who continues to take care of himself and who can offer those six months."</p><p></p>

WHAT GUTI SAID

<p>Madrid's injury concerns continue to mount and they already have a lot of ground to make up in both La Liga and the Champions League. If they are to repeat their success of winning both competitions in 2023-24, they are going to need some immediate reinforcements at the back.</p>

<p>After the international break, it is full steam ahead for Madrid. They will travel to Leganes in an effort to try and close the current six-point gap to leaders Barcelona before they head to Liverpool in the Champions League. </p>
