WHAT HAPPENED?

<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/usmnt-paxten-aaronson-loan-move-eintracht-frankfurt-vitesse/bltbfb49df239e1f1ea" target="_blank">Aaronson moved to Vitesse on loan in the January transfer window</a> from Eintracht Frankfurt after struggling for game time with the Bundesliga club. The 20-year-old has gone on to make 11 league appearances for his new club, scoring four times for Edward Sturing's side.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Paxten is the younger brother of Union Berlin and USMNT midfielder Brendan Aaronson, who is on loan at the German club from Leeds United. The two siblings faced each other earlier this season in the Bundesliga when Union Berlin beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0.

Aaronson will finish the season with Vitesse, who conclude their campaign with games against Utrecht, Heerenveen and Ajax. The youngster is then expected to play a key role for the USMNT at the Paris Olympics.
