<p>Rooney, who is fairly new to the punditry gig after only retiring in 2021, was first into the BBC studio and was in a mischievous mood before working on the Netherlands vs France clash.</p><p>As he got ready for the coverage to begin, Rooney sat in Shearer's seat in an attempt to wind the former Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers striker up.</p><p>"You've been relegated, Al," Rooney said before quickly moving when Shearer entered the studio.</p>

<p>Rooney will continue to work as a pundit across Euro 2024 before it ends on July 14. The Plymouth boss will then shift his focus to pre-season with the Pilgrims, who avoided relegation from the Championship by just a single point last season.</p>
