Nasraoui was left in a serious condition and required immediate medical attention, although he is now believed to be stable. Local sources confirmed to the newspaper that the altercation began as a fight in the car park, before things escalated.

Following the stabbing, emergency services were called to the scene, and Nasraoui was rushed to the nearby Can Ruti hospital. The hospital, located approximately six miles from Barcelona and midway between the city and Mataro, provided immediate care for Nasraoui.
