<p>Just a day after 12-time Greece international <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/premier-league-george-baldock-sheffield-united-found-dead-panathinaikos-greece/blt98e53542a8eb261c" target="_blank">Baldock was found dead at the age of 31</a>, his national side faced England at Wembley. Moments after Vangelis Pavlidis put the visitors ahead in the Nations League clash, the striker lifted a shirt into the air with Baldock's name on the back in tribute to the former Sheffield United man.</p>

<p>Baldock was found dead in the pool of his house in Athens on Wednesday, with it later being revealed the Panathinaikos player's <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/george-baldock-cause-of-death-drowning-tragically-found-dead-athens-swimming-pool/bltedba360c7df36f35#cs1210fef1d783ec07" target="_blank">cause of death was from drowning.</a> On an emotional night in London, Greece played their hearts out, no doubt spurred on by this tragedy, and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-cm/lists/england-player-ratings-greece-phil-foden-jude-bellingham-jordan-pickford/blt064b3d977fb709c0#cs191f1e3c32ae9d93" target="_blank">beat England 2-1</a> as Pavlidis' last-gasp strike cancelled out Jude Bellingham's late equaliser. </p>
