It has long been known that Cristiano Ronaldo will take the cover of FIFA 18, and the superstar is busy getting into shape for a new, improved version of the football simulation.
For the next instalment of the game, EA Sports are working on a new motion capture technology that will make games look even more realistic.

Ronaldo himself was on hand in Madrid to bring his own unique skills to life on the screen alongside the FIFA geniuses.
Sporting a fetching body suit and helmet, he was asked to replicate one of his free-kicks, complete with the characteristic deep breath before beginning his run-up.
The results, as you can see in the split-screen video above, are fantastic, although it cuts away before we can see the little jump that almost invariably accompanies his celebration.
