Beckham and Ronaldo became good friends when they played together at Madrid between 2003-07. More than 20 years after they became team-mates at Los Blancos, it is clear Beckham still holds the Brazilian in high regards - going by his heart-warming message to the great striker.

In an Instagram story, he posted a photo of the two together back in their Madrid playing days and wrote: "Happy birthday. Beckham and Ronaldo were two greats of the game, especially the latter. While both didn't enjoy that much success together at Madrid, they certainly developed a warm friendship - and both had glittering careers.
