<p>Mullin played a starring role again for Wrexham last season as Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side achieved back-to-back promotions. The striker's efforts have not gone unnoticed either as he was named in the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-league-two-pfa-team-of-the-year-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-stockport-notts-county/blt4226759c5af43215" target="_blank">League Two PFA Team of the Year</a> alongside team-mate Elliot Lee. <span>Notts County winger Jodi Jones&nbsp;won the division's Player of the Year award, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-paul-mullin-elliot-lee-league-two-pfa-award-promotion-notts-county-winner/blt149c717bb030ced4" target="_blank">beating off competition from the Wrexham duo</a>.</span></p><p></p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Mullin was also named in the PFA League Two Team of the Year in the 2021-22 season while playing for Cambridge United. He may have missed out on the main award this time around but has already scooped the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-paul-mullin-pfa-fans-player-of-the-year-award-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-league-one-promotion/blt41db03e01cc4f110#csf868f01253efe2ca" target="_blank">PFA Fans' Player of the Year</a> prize for his performances last season where he scored 24 goals. </p><p></p>

WHAT MULLIN SAID

<p>Mullin is still on the comeback trail from surgery <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-phil-parkinson-paul-mullin-fitness-update-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenny/blt68af8ba2f94c8890#cs50b2fcfa45f6bdad" target="_blank">but is closing in on a return to full fitness</a>. A return date is yet to be pencilled in, meaning Wrexham will have to cope without their talisman again on Saturday when they take on Reading in League One.</p><p></p>
