With United's forwards suffering a dearth of goals, even with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/twelve-games-no-goals-why-can-t-man-utd-gbp72m-striker-rasmus-hojlund-score-premier-league/blta74c7ad22ff059e0" target="_self">£72 million ($92m) Rasmus Hojlund up-front</a>, Guirassy appeared to be a possible solution. Yet, the likelihood of a transfer being completed decreases by the day with increased competition for the striker's signature.

Despite his rampant goalscoring, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-transfer-boost-goal-machine-serhou-guirassy-rejects-stuttgart-deal/blt6414f77ffc197a98" target="_blank">Guirassy has a release clause of just €17.5 million</a> (£15m/$19m).
