Fantasy Football: A pair of players named Lucas lead our Goal Premier League Team of the Week

Matchweek 15 is now in the books and it was an exciting one. Every single club scored in midweek, making it the first time since November of 2010 that no club kept a clean sheet. Interestingly though, despite all of those goals, only Lucas Perez scored twice as, incredibly, 31 different players found the back of the net this week. Naturally, every player that made our Goal Team of the Week, save for the goalkeeper, scored a goal this week... so who made the cut?

GK: Lukasz Fabianski - Swansea - 1 Game, 2 Saves, 1 Penalty Save, 1 Goal Conceded = 7 Points

DEF: James Milner - Liverpool - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Goal Conceded = 8 Points

Milner had seemingly lost his spot in Liverpool’s starting XI, but reappeared with a big outing on Wednesday. His goal, which he actually managed to do from open play, was his third of the season which has re-take his place as a top-five defender in the Goal game. Whether or not he continues to play in the first team remains to be seen but, when he plays, he is one of the best fantasy players at his position.

DEF: Terance Kongolo - Huddersfield - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 2 Goal Conceded = 7 Points

DEF: Shkodran Mustafi - Arsenal - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 2 Goals Conceded = 7 Points

MID: Ryan Fraser - Bournemouth - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 11 Points

Anyone still waiting for Fraser to slow down will have to just keep waiting. The Scottish international now boasts a league-best seven assists, and it seems to be wholly sustainable as he continues to rank amongst the best in the league in both chances created and accurate crosses. Throw in the fact that every midfielder with more points costs at least £2.0m more, and it becomes clear just how incredible he’s been, and how vital it is to own him.

MID: Riyad Mahrez - Leicester City - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 11 Points

MID: Lucas Moura - Tottenham - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

Add Dele Alli, Heung-Min Son, and Christian Eriksen together and what do you get? Fewer combined league goals (four) than Lucas Moura (five). Lucas missed his first match of the season in the North London derby but order has seemingly been restored for the Brazilian, who scored again on Wednesday.

There are five Tottenham players competing for three spots at the moment but in our game, you can set your team after lineups are announced so, if Lucas is starting for Tottenham, you can start him for your Fantasy team as well.

MID: Leroy Sane - Manchester City - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

FOR: Lucas Perez - West Ham - 1 Substitute Appearance, 2 Goals = 11 Points

It’s not the London club he initially would have hoped to score for, but the ex-Arsenal man put in a fantastic performance this week, netting a brace. He came on for the injured Marko Arnautovic and, with it likely to be an extended absence, there’s a solid chance this Lucas will be given a shot at the top of the formation. Considering the ease of West Ham’s coming schedule, and his £6.1m price tag, Lucas Perez could be worth a gamble for the braver of Fantasy players.

FOR: Harry Kane - Tottenham - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 10 Points

FOR: Callum Wilson - Bournemouth - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 10 Points
