Cristiano Ronaldo has been revealed as the footballer with the most popular hairstyle in 2016 by Google, finishing clear of the likes of Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba.
The Real Madrid No.7 was voted the winner of the annual Salon d'Or award once again on Thursday, having already finished on top 12 months ago.
To find out whether Ronaldo came out on top beyond the walls of this website, Goal asked Google Trends to rank search interest for the Salon d'Or 2016 nominees. They did this by calculating how many times the 20 footballers' names had been 'Googled' with terms such as 'hair, 'hairstyle' and 'haircut' or local language equivalents across the globe.
Ronaldo indeed topped the charts when the search results were tallied up, finishing ahead of Barcelona rivals Messi and Neymar, who finished second and third respectively.
Manchester United midfielder Pogba is renowned for his cool haircuts and came just behind the Clasico trio, while Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud showed his influence as a football fashion icon in fifth.
