WATCH: Club America manager Ricardo La Volpe sent off for making a tackle

It has not been a great night for Ricardo La Volpe.

The Club America manager had already seen his team go a goal and a man down to Chivas in the Clasico Nacional, Mexico's biggest match, and then he was sent off for getting a little bit too involved in the action.

With 15 minutes left to play and things not going well for his side, La Volpe watched as Chivas right back Jesus Sanchez tried to save a ball from going out of play, with the defender pulling it back onto the pitch and looking to play on.

La Volpe was having none of it. The American manager was standing just inside the touchline and decided to stick a foot in.

La Volpe was immediately sent to the stands, and after his team’s defeat to its rival in Guadalajara, there’s speculation it could be the last time he manages Las Aguilas.
