He once again <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/kylian-mbappe-battling-physical-psychological-struggles-real-madrid-slump-france-dispute/bltbee90b771536ff53" target="_blank">came under fire</a> after he missed a penalty in Los Blancos' 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League last week.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Amid all the talk regarding the France captain's poor form, French television and radio presenter Cyril Hanouna - who is known to be close to PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi - has claimed that the 25-year-old made a huge mistake by leaving the Ligue 1 champions as he could have become an icon in the French capital in the long run.</p>

<p>Speaking on the <em>C8 </em>channel, Hanouna said, "He made the biggest mistake of his life by going to Real Madrid. He is in a spiral of failure. Mbappe should have stayed at PSG, won the Champions League with this club, won the Ballon d'Or with it. The club gave him everything, it would have been his club. He would have been the boss at PSG."</p>
