<p>Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk have been sharing a dressing room for the past six years and have won several accolades including the Premier League and the Champions League titles. The English full-back recently spoke highly of his partner in defence while stating that the Dutchman is one of the best players he has ever played with.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Speaking to <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thZzcK5tgyM" target="_blank">Sky Sports</a>, the 26-year-old said, "Virgil van Dijk's leadership, he is an incredible leader and he is incredibly consistent and an amazing captain to the team. I think for me, he will go down as one of two or three best players I've ever played with, been able to share the pitch with. Every time I step on the pitch with him, it's an honour. And It's an honour that I'll be able to tell my kids and grandkids that I was able to share the pitch with Virgil. Because for me, he is the only one who doesn't really have a weakness in his game and that's incredible."</p>

WHAT TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD SAID

<p>Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold's future at Anfield has come under speculation as the duo have yet to sign a new contract extension with the Reds.
