Having taken some time off from the stresses of being a manager at the top level,<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/antonio-conte-back-napoli-with-gian-piero-gasperini-talks-atalanta-contract/blt2269742d42b3ba99" target="_blank"> Conte is back in Serie A.</a> The former Spurs and Chelsea boss has a decorated career, winning the Premier League and will be hoping to take Napoli back to the top after they recorded a poor title defence in 2023-24.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Speaking for the first time in his new role, Conte said: "Napoli is a place of global importance. I am happy and excited at the idea of sitting on the blue bench. I can certainly promise one thing: I will do my utmost for the growth of the team and the club. WHAT CONTE SAID

Conte knows the Serie A like the back of his hand and there is little doubt that he will steer Napoli back towards the top of the table during his three-year stay. He has previously had stints in charge of Atalanta, Juventus and Inter and usually commands high standards and a high budget. With Victor Osimhen potentially on his way out of the club, Conte could have upwards of €100 million to spend.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The 54-year-old will likely have to wait to meet most of his first-team squad until pre-season begins in July. Plenty of his top stars are away on international duty but that will not stop Conte from steaming ahead with his transfer plans.
