Reyna has yet to make a start for Forest since joining the club on loan from Borussia Dortmund and was limited to a nine-minute <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/injury-gio-reyna-favour-morgan-gibbs-white-opportunity-usmnt-star-nottingham-forest-cameo-bench-tottenham/blt7ec27f0e1a95b68c" target="_blank">cameo in their 3-1 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday</a>. In total, he has accrued 90 minutes worth of playing time, but those minutes have come across six substitute appearances instead of one start.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Twellman, a former USMNT international himself, has responded to a tweet from <a href="https://twitter.com/CBSSportsGolazo/status/1777048721550627301" target="_blank">CBS Sports</a> asking if Nuno simply "does not rate" Reyna, and he has claimed that the club are in a risk-averse situation due to their ongoing relegation battle. Their defeat to Spurs leaves them 17th, level on points with 18th-placed Luton Town, and only ahead of them on goal difference.

WHAT TWELLMAN SAID

Forest are next in action on Saturday against Nuno's old club, Wolves, but then they face a remarkable run-in packed with six-pointers. They will also face relegation rivals Everton, Sheffield United and Burnley before the season is out; it remains to be seen if Reyna will get a chance to shine.
