Mbappe's future has been unclear for months but there is now an official confirmation from the player himself that he will be departing the city he was born in. Real Madrid had the opportunity to sign the global star last season but refused to pay PSG's hefty asking price and instead opted to wait until he became a free agent. Speaking through a video message on social media, Mbappe said: "I've always said I would speak to you when this time comes and so I wanted to announce to you all that it's my last year at Paris Saint-Germain, I will not extend and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks. Europe's most sought-after player will officially become a free agent at the end of June and all eyes will now be on Real Madrid for their expected announcement of the 25-year-old joining them.
