Luis Suarez named the best in MLS for February and March - earning Player of the Month honors for Inter Miami performances

<p>After scoring five goals and adding three assists through seven MLS game throughout February and March, the Herons' superstar striker was named the best in the league through the first two months of the season. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Suarez has stunned for the Florida team since arriving at South Beach during the offseason. Linking up with Lionel Messi and co. the Uruguayan has singlehandedly helped them to second place in the Eastern Conference through the start of the campaign.</p><p>Messi has missed three MLS matches due to injury, and as a result, Suarez was asked to step up, and boy did he. He's started eight of a possible 10 matches, with 12 total goal contributions across all competitions.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Suarez trailed NYRB attacker Lewis Morgan in goals scored and RSL striker Chicho Arango in total goal contributions throughout February and March, but still managed to snag the award over the two other frontrunners.</p>
