As per the report, the Eagles and the Villains are still trying to work out whether the deal would indeed be a possibility with the transfer window set to close in just over a week. The former Manchester City star's reported £325,000-per-week wages are said to be the biggest obstacle that could hinder either side from signing Sterling this summer.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The report has also suggested that Juventus have reignited their interest in signing Sterling this summer after it was clarified that he will indeed be leaving Chelsea. However, the Bianconeri will only be able to afford Sterling if they complete the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/federico-chiesa-barcelona-transfer-juventus-desperate-to-shift-winger/blt313089cb951c0687" target="_blank">potential sale of Federico Chiesa to Barcelona</a> or any other suitor.

It is highly possible that Sterling may accept a significant pay cut to sign with another club this summer as the 29-year-old wants regular playing time, something which he will not get at Chelsea.
