In their Concacaf Champions Cup leg one clash Thursday night, Vazquez beat two of his former teammates, turning defender Matt Miazga in a circle only to fire home under the hands of Roman Celentano in net. The 25-year-old refused to celebrate at TQL Stadium, though, issuing a sign of respect to his former club and fans.The first half strike, however, ended up being the deciding effort between the two sides in a contested match.

The Mexican club return to Liga MX action this weekend, clashing with Mazatlan FC. Then, they'll host FCC in leg two of the tie on March 14, looking to advance to the next round. With an ever-important away goal, and a 1-0 advantage, they are in pole position.
