Given that players like Khadija "Bunny" Shaw, Lauren Hemp, Mary Fowler, Chloe Kelly, and Jill Roord all played for Gareth Taylor's team the previous season, Miedema will have stiff competition for spots in attacking positions. However, she has now spoken about where she would like to play for City this season.

I think we need to find the right combination and go from there."I hope we can find the connection and my game is about making the players around me better, so that’s working closely with Lauren Hemp, Bunny Shaw, Chloe Kelly, Mary Fowler, Jill."

WHAT MIEDEMA SAID

Manchester City will play their first pre-season friendly against Leicester City on August 28 and it is likely that Miedema will make her debut for the side in that outing.
