Per journalist <a href="https://x.com/resatcan_ozbdak/status/1829856810834280610" target="_blank">Resat Can Ozbudak</a>, former England international and Newcastle United full-back Trippier has been linked with a move to the Turkish Super Lig. The player has reportedly agreed personal terms with Turkish side Eyupspor - which is managed by former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan - and is now negotiating his existing contract with the Magpies.

Trippier, who recently <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/kieran-trippier-confirms-retirement-england-duty-newcastle-full-back-bows-out-54-caps/blt4ea52af2b5374444" target="_blank">announced his retirement from international football</a>, has entered the final year of his contract at St. James' Park. Earlier, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5716282/2024/08/22/newcastle-transfer-kieran-trippier-everton/" target="_blank">The Athletic</a> reported that the defender was keen to exit the Premier League club this summer and was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/kieran-trippier-newcastle-exit-transfer-deadline-everton-eye-loan-move-saudi-link/bltefbd6c4b347421cb#cs431af5524aa53984" target="_blank">linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League</a>.

While the summer transfer window in the Premier League closed on August 30, the Turkish Super Lig window remains open until September 18. The English full-back will hope to conclude negotiation with the Magpies in the next few days before completing his move to Turkey.
