The 32-year-old was asked about Reds fans singing Pep Guardiola would be <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-city-boss-pep-guardiola-liverpool-fans-sacked-in-the-morning-chant/blt53732c178e24b8be" target="_blank">"sacked in the morning"</a>, to which he gave a blunt reply.</p>

<p>Regardless of his remarks, table-toppers Liverpool are on course to dethrone defending Premier League champions City after this win at Anfield. They are now 11 points clear of Guardiola's side and the gap between the two teams appears to be widening.</p>
