What is new in FIFA mobile?

FIFA Mobile has had a solid revamp, with improved graphics and new gameplay features.

Player models are more realistic and feature more authentic faces for the world's biggest stars, and the animation fidelity within the game has been significantly enhanced.

In addition to general in-game graphic updates, FIFA Mobile features new and improved player celebrations – having upgraded the fluidity of existing celebrations as well as adding new ones, including dabs, backflips, and more individual player-specific celebrations. FIFA Mobile also shows the individual personalities of each of the world's best players be it with their on-pitch playing style or mannerisms.

The latest iteration of FIFA Mobile also includes an improved physics engine that creates authentic physicality between each player, with realistic jostles and on-pitch interactions. Animation quality and control on defence has also been altered, allowing players to dominate the pitch on defence as well as in attack.

Defensive skills have also been given an upgrade, with FIFA Mobile introducing a new selection of skillsets including the step-over, lane change, and heel-to-heel. A new free kick system enables players to bend the ball just like the pros by tracing the ball trajectory across the smartphone screen.

A new Team Chemistry system has been implemented for FIFA Mobile that has been created to boost the user's starting lineup when including players from the same team, league, or country in the real world, much like in the console version of Ultimate Team.

Alongside Team Chemistry, EA has introduced real-time Head to Head multiplayer mode which allows players to play tournaments with competitors around the globe in real time. Users can also decide to play the Amateur and Pro Divisions to play games against an AI Trainer to improve skills on the pitch.

EA has provided a list of minimum specs requirements for the Head to Head mode, which include: iPhone 6 and later, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad mini 4 and later, Samsung Galaxy S6 and later, Galaxy Note 5 and later, Google Pixel and later, and OnePlus 3T and later.

What is new in Ultimate Team in FIFA Mobile?

FIFA Mobile

The Ultimate Team feature of FIFA Mobile has been altered from previous editions to make it more easily accessible, but still with enough nuance and depth to allow the user to field line-ups that are unique to their own playing style.

In FIFA mobile, while users still field 11 players on the pitch, the whole team must consist of 27 players. Former editions of FIFA games on mobile had users build a squad of 11 starters and six players on the bench – but for this version, a team features one player for every position with no added surplus of substitutes.

The new edition of FIFA mobile features 16 different formations to select from, and once picked, the game takes 11 players automatically that are necessary for it. This allows the user to get into playing the game without having the need to manually adjust the lineup for that formation specifically.

FIFA will release regular updates about special positional changes for players through player items, with player items able to be obtained through opening Packs using the coins that have been earned or through purchase with FIFA Points.

Users can also build their team through completing Live Events or Plans, as some of the most special items can only be obtained by finishing specific Plans.

Players can also be obtained by using the market, where users can find low-priced items to be sold for a profit.

The structure of the market in FIFA Mobile has also changed in that while users are still able to buy and sell items and bid against others for items, players are not buying and selling directly for each other – and the game acts as an intermediary on all transactions to make sure that a level playing field is achieved.
