Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho has laughed off reports that he is planning to wed his two girlfriends in a lavish ceremony in Rio de Janeiro.
Local gossip columnist Leo Dias sent the world abuzz on Thursday when he claimed the ex-Barcelona star would hold the unorthodox three-way nuptials in August.
Ronaldinho has maintained an open relationship with Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza for several years, and was reportedly set to exploit a loophole in Brazilian law that allows multiple individuals to be joined together in a civil union.
Dias held that it would be an intimate ceremony in the player's Rio mansion open only to family, although Ronaldinho's sister was supposedly opposed to the union and would not be in attendance.
Speaking on Saturday, however, the now-retired star saw the funny side as he denied any plans to settle down.
"It's just the biggest lie. That was said, but it is a lie," he explained to SporTV.
"Everyone in the world is calling me and leaving me messages, it's funny. I'm not getting married!"
