<p>The Villans star took to Instagram to share a thank you note for the club's fans who have shown their support for the team in a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/alisha-lehmann-cryptic-message-aston-villa-star-shows-off-louis-vuitton-trainers/bltb9abdc59ecad2451" target="_blank">season</a> which was full of 'highs and downs'. Aston Villa played their final game of the season on Saturday as they went down 2-1 against giants Manchester City in the WSL at home.</p>

WHAT ALISHA LEHMANN SAID

<p>The 25-year-old midfielder appeared in 21 matches across all competitions including 15 in the WSL. She <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/video-alisha-lehmann-winner-aston-villa-scores-wsl-brighton/bltafdc8d77c926b039" target="_blank">scored twice in the league this season</a> and four times overall as the Birmingham-based club finished seventh on the league table with 24 points from 22 games.</p>

<p>The Switzerland international will be next seen in action for her country as they take on Hungary on May 31 and June 6 respectively in <span>qualifiers for Euro 2025.</span></p>
