At the peak of his powers, Dele was one of the most exciting players in the Premier League at Tottenham and a regular in the England national team. THE BIGGER PICTURE

If Everton decide to keep Dele beyond his contract, they will have to pay a large fee to his former club Tottenham. They have been cutting it close with the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules in recent years but the midfielder would help them as he counts as homegrown.

The 28-year-old's<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/dele-alli-slammed-poor-showing-not-turning-up-everton-final-home-game/blt3872e83a7926e613" target="_blank"> contract at Goodison Park is set to expire at the end of June</a>, but Everton are reportedly ready to have another look at him in pre-season and then decide whether or not to offer him a new deal.
