<p>The Liverpool legend was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/steven-gerrard-booed-off-get-out-al-ettifaq-saudi-nightmare-liverpool-legend/blt391fbb73f16a9203" target="_blank">booed and jeered by Al-Ettifaq fans</a> after the club's disappointing loss at home against Al-Qadisiyah last weekend in a Saudi Pro League clash. Gerrard is under tremendous pressure at the moment after the club's disappointing start to the 2024-25 campaign as they find themselves 11th in the league with just three wins out of their first nine outings.</p>

Per Al-Youm, the club management are considering a change in leadership and could part ways with the 44-year-old soon. They are expected to take a final call by the end of this week. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The ex-Rangers and Aston Villa coach took charge of the Saudi-based club in the summer of 2023 and guided them to a sixth-place finish in his maiden campaign. They started the new season on a high by winning three consecutive league games, but thereafter their form took a major dip and the club has now lost four out of their last six games across all competitions.</p>
