Philippine side Ceres Negros travel to Singapore to battle Home United in what is the first leg of the ASEAN Zone final which will determine which of the two teams progress to the Inter-Zonal semifinals of the AFC Cup 2017.
The winners of the tie are set to take on Tajikistan's FC Istiklol on August 22.
Home United, who will be hosting the first leg, defeated Philippine's Global FC in the semifinals to reach this stage and will be hopeful of scalping yet another Philippine team. Home United will be looking towards their 2004 batch for inspiration who reached the semifinals of the inaugural edition of this tournament.
The key player for Home United will be striker Stipe Plazibat who has made a habit of scoring crucial, late goals and Home United will be looking for him to fire yet again.
On the other hand, Ceres Negros go into this match after claiming a huge scalp in Johor Darul Ta'zim in the semifinals on away goals. Ceres will be full of confidence going into this game and with a strong forward line which has been in form, they will be looking to score one or two crucial away goals in Singapore.
Star striker Bienvenido Maranon will be one to watch out for from Ceres' ranks.
