Ex-Liverpool star Mamadou Sakho completes shock transfer with defender set to work with former Premier League manager in Georgia

<p>The 34-year-old has been without a club since leaving Montpellier by mutual consent last November. Sakho has been on the lookout for a new team and now the ex-Paris Saint-Germain defender will link up with former Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean at Torpedo. It is clear they have big plans for the former France international.</p>

After playing for Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, and Montpellier, Mamadou Sakho will now join Torpedo Kutaisi. Mamadou Sakho and Torpedo Kutaisi negotiated on all aspects of his transfer. The player will not only help Torpedo Kutaisi win trophies, but he will also serve as an ambassador to the international football community. WHAT FC TORPEDO KUTAISI SAID

<p>The former Crystal Palace man has reportedly been offered a two-year deal, with the option of a third season.
