<p>The 60-year-old was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/roma-sack-jose-mourinho-portuguese-boss-dismissed-after-ac-milan-defeat-dismal-season-touchline-bans/blt2e35df8cbf77db36" target="_blank">dismissed from his role</a> on Tuesday morning after a bad run of form that involved just one win in five Serie A matches and a  Coppa Italia exit at the hands of city rivals Lazio last week. Daniele de Rossi will replace the former Chelsea manager until the end of the season, with i Giallorossi currently ninth in the table. Now, Mourinho has taken to <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2LR89voRuz/?igsh=MmVyMHdqMGJmZ2dx" target="_blank">Instagram</a> with a heartfelt parting message to the club's supporters. </p>

WHAT JOSE MOURINHO SAID

<p>Mourinho took over at Roma in May 2021 and led them to a Europa Conference League triumph a year later and then the Europa League final in 2023. The ex-Inter Milan manager has won a host of titles across Europe but his powers in the management game may be waning after this latest sacking. </p>
