After the Flamingos failed to qualify for the U17 Women’s World Cup final, Nigerian fans blamed coach Bankole Olowookere for the setback.
The Flamingos – who were participating in the semi-final for the first time – were beaten by Colombia in the post-match penalty shootout after the showdown ended in a goalless draw in regulation time.
The West Africans looked disjointed as they tackled the South Americans, and the fans have now pointed out what they think worked against the youngsters.
As some pointed their guns to the technical bench led by coach Olowookere, some pointed fingers at the Nigeria Football Federation under Ibrahim Gusau's leadership, and defender Josephine Edafe, who missed one of the penalties, was also profiled.
