Chelsea confirmed the<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/joao-felix-returns-chelsea-home-atletico-madrid-permanent-deal-vows-best/bltc6f9c41bcb20e01b" target="_blank"> £45.5 million ($59m) permanent transfer of Felix</a> from Atletico Madrid earlier this week. Ahead of facing Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday, the club have teased when he could make his second debut - more than 18 months on from his first debut when he joined on loan in early 2023.

WHAT CHELSEA SAID

Felix is hoping he's found a permanent home after loan spells with Chelsea and Barcelona over the past season and a half. After <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/diego-simeone-blanks-barcelona-joao-felix-after-feisty-clash-against-atletico-madrid/blt9bb7c5b7489f9cd3" target="_blank">falling out with Atletico boss Diego Simeone in late 2022</a>, the Portugal international has sought an exit from his La Liga employers. Now, he, and the Blues, will hope he can hit the ground running and fix some of the club's on-field issues.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

If Felix doesn't play against Wolves on Sunday, he could feature in their upcoming games against Servette in the second leg of their Europa Conference League second leg play-off on August 29, or at home to Crystal Palace on September 1 in the Premier League.
