A sell-on clause has been agreed upon, with Premier League giants set to take a 50 per cent cut of any future fee.

There is also a buy-back option in Greenwood’s new contract, which could offer him a way back to Old Trafford. <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/07/22/mason-greenwood-manchester-united-marseille-getafe-transfer/ " target="_blank">The Telegraph</a> claims a retracing of steps remains unlikely, with the chances of United triggering the clause in the winger’s deal “considered very low”.
