When is the FIFA U-17 World Cup draw?

The FIFA U-17 World Cup draw will take place on Friday, July 7 from 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM IST.

It will be hosted at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai, with former Inter Milan player Esteban Cambiasso and ex-Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu to help with the draw. India badminton star PV Sindhu and the skipper of the Indian national football team, Sunil Chhetri, will also be in attendance.

How can I watch the U-17 World Cup draw?


In India, the draw can be watched live on Sony Six, Sony Six HD and Ten 2.

Which teams are in the U-17 World Cup draw?


24 countries will be participating in the World Cup, from six different confederations. As hosts, the Blue Colts  have gained automatic qualification for the tournament and will feature in Group A for the draw. There will be six different bowls representing the six groups - Group A, B, C, D, E and F respectively.

All you need to know about India U-17 team

After India was announced as the host nation of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in December 2013, the biggest sporting event in the country is set to take place in the month of October from 6th to 28th. India will play their matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in the country's capital, New Delhi, with the final scheduled to be staged at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) or the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
