<p>Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the table over reigning champions Manchester City to five points after registering a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-player-ratings-aston-villa-mohamed-salah-virgil-van-dijk/blt526a168bca921983" target="_blank">comfortable 2-0 win over Aston Villa</a> on Saturday at Anfield. This was their 15th win in 17 outings across all competitions in the 2024-25 campaign under new head coach Slot.</p>

So, we are only focused on ourselves and then a win against a very good team like Villa, who have done so well in the last few years, is always important."</p>
