Following Olmo's brilliant performances at Euro 2024 as Spain cruised to the title, it has been reported that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/barcelona-ready-to-meet-dani-olmo-asking-price-insulting-opening-bid-knocked-back-by-rb-leipzig/bltc2d27f43a6560580" target="_blank">Barcelona are interested in signing the midfielder</a>. The Catalan side had kept Olmo's signing as the second priority as they looked to sign Athletic Club's Nico Williams first. However, with the winger reportedly <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/nico-williams-snub-barcelona-psg-arsenal-chelsea-for-athletic-club-stay-spain-euro-2024/blte869d6e3c550164c" target="_blank">looking to stay with the Basque club for another year</a>, Barcelona have shifted their focus back to Olmo.

WHAT HAPPENED?

According to <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1818944397360128079" target="_blank">transfer expert Fabrizio Romano</a>, Barcelona and Olmo have already agreed to personal terms on a six-year contract until the summer of 2030. Romano also stated that Olmo is only interested in a move to Barcelona, but the Catalan side are yet to find an agreement with Leipzig over a transfer fee. They have submitted a new bid that they hope will be accepted.
