And it includes no fewer than three new signings, with Rashford nowhere to be seen.

WHAT HAPPENED?

United's potential new signings are as follows: Bologna's Zirkzee, PSG's Manuel Ugarte and Bayern Munich's Matthijs De Ligt. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/massive-cost-man-utd-missing-out-champions-league-football-next-season/blt2ca32769d5a10261" target="_blank">Due to PSR complications</a>, the club may be limited in their spending power, but are looking to upgrade the spine of the team at Old Trafford, with Ashworth presenting his plans to INEOS.

United are also predicted to play Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund in a front two, as Erik ten Hag looks to add firepower to his ranks.The full XI reads: Onana; Dalot, De Ligt, Martinez, Shaw; Garnacho, Ugarte, Mainoo, Fernandes; Zirkzee, Hojlund.
