Liverpool play three games in eight days from Sunday onwards; they face Brighton this Sunday, then Sheffield United on Thursday and Manchester United the following Sunday. The subsequent Thursday, they come up against Atalanta in the Europa League. WHAT HAPPENED?

Liverpool do not expect to have the left-back fit for this weekend's clash with Brighton, and Jurgen Klopp will have a number of selection headaches. Both Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also likely to miss out, meaning the German tactician will have to call on two deputies at full-back.
