'Mahrez is finished & should leave Manchester City' - Winger faces backlash after penalty miss against Borussia Dortmund

Manchester City supporters have called on Pep Guardiola to stop 'finished' winger Riyad Mahrez from taking penalties after he missed against Borussia Dortmund in a Champions League fixture on Tuesday.

In the Group G fixture at Signal Iduna Park, the Citizens were awarded a penalty in the 58th minute. The Algerian international stepped up to take it, but his weak left-footed effort was saved by Gregor Kobel, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

The miss came after he had failed to convert another penalty in their 0-0 draw against Copenhagen on October 11.

Fans have taken to social media to express their anger over the missed opportunity and called on Guardiola to take away penalty duties from Mahrez, while some feel it is time he left the club.
