The 24-year-old forward has signed a four-and-half-year contract with the Blues, with her former club in line to receive €450,000 (£384,000/$489,000). With further achievable add-ons of €450,000 the total fee is expected to eclipse the £400,000 paid by Barcelona to Manchester City for the services of Keira Walsh in 2022.

Ramirez's arrival, along with the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/sam-kerr-staying-chelsea-blues-legend-agrees-deal-in-principle-extend-contract/blte65c20c89b66e731#csde2f7c845c91c02e" target="_blank">news that Kerr has agreed a deal to keep her at Chelsea beyond the end of this season </a>comes as welcome news as the Blues ready themselves for their annual silverware hunt.

Ramirez came up against several of her new team-mates during last summer's World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
