Wayne Rooney's latest update on Twitter has clearly not gone down well with a number of Manchester United fans.

Gerrard made the announcement on Thursday, bringing an end to a professional career that saw him make his debut for the Anfield club way back in November 1998.
And Merseysider Rooney paid tribute to the 36-year-old for a career that saw him claim a Champions League title back in 2005, as well as two FA Cup wins and three League Cup triumphs.
Certain United fans on social media were not impressed with their captain, however, with many urging Rooney to delete the post, while others called him a liar.

Rooney was back on the scoresheet for United in the Europa League on Thursday, with his opening goal against Feyenoord meaning he is now the club's record European scorer.
The 31-year-old will be hoping to keep his place in the starting XI for Sunday's meeting with West Ham as the hosts look to close the gap on the top four.
