Instead, the Brazil international is much more likely to land at Real Madrid, though the Champions League winners are also interested in Thibaut Courtois.

If Courtois does make the move to the Spanish capital, then Chelsea would go in for Alisson.

Man United considering Alderweireld alternatives

Manchester United are not fully convinced by Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld and do not have him at the top of their shortlist, according to the Manchester Evening News .

Scouts have questioned the defender’s profile, and United are said to value Alderweireld at about £20 million less than the Spurs asking price of £70m ($93m).

Raphael Varane, Jerome Boateng, Kalidou Koulibaly, Milan Skriniar, Alessio Romagnoli, Jose Gimenez and Caglar Soyuncu are all prospective targets for the club as they consider centre-back a top priority this summer.

Rodrygo has scored six goals and provided two assists in just 15 appearances at the age of 17, and Real have subsequently made a bid of €45 million (£39m/$53m) for the left winger.

However, he will not be able to head to Spain until he turns 19, in 2020.

Should a deal for the former Chelsea forward fall through, the Ligue 1 club are also monitoring Torres, who is a free agent after his departure from Atletico Madrid. He is, however, understood to be in negotiations with Japanese club Sagan Tosu.

Rafinha could be part of Barca’s Eriksen deal

Barcelona could use Tottenham’s interest in Rafinha to secure the signing of Christian Eriksen, claims  Sport .

Rafinha spent the second half of the season on loan at Inter, but the Serie A side have not activated his purchase option of €35 million (£31m/$41m).

The midfielder isn’t part of Barca's plans, so the Catalans could use Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino’s interest in Rafinha and include him as part of a deal to land Eriksen.

Liverpool to turn to Shaqiri

Liverpool will turn their attention to trying to land Stoke City midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri after the World Cup, according to the Mirror .
