<p>Mainoo has emerged as a key player for club and country after making the breakthrough last season at the tender age of just 19. Given the calibre of players that have graced Manchester United's colours during the club's rich history, that's quite the compliment.</p>

At his age, he is so good, he is an amazing player, a good person, I'm very close to him. I think he's going to be one of the best players in Man Utd's history."</p><p>Amad also spoke about his own ambitions at the club, adding: "[I want] to win more trophies with the club. I want to win a lot, a lot, a lot of trophies, Champions League, Premier League, everything."</p><p><strong></strong></p>

<p>Manchester United will be hoping the likes of Mainoo can inpire the team to glory this season. However, Erik ten Hag's side have made a slow start to the campaign and take on Tottenham on Sunday aiming for just their third Premier League win of 2024-25.</p>
